"I joined Riverside Golf and Country Club in 1986. I had no idea how to play golf, I would just hit the ball go find it and hit it again. I soon realized I needed a lot of help. I asked several good golfers who they would recommend to give me golf lessons and the name Daran Dauble was always first on the list. I met Daran at his instruction office at Glendoveer Golf Course in 1987. With his easy going personality and expert advice I now have a great swing, so I am told and I went on to win my flight in the club championship many times and last year I was the Senior Club Champion at my Country Club. I give all my credit for my golf achievements to Daran. He taught me the proper grip, stance, swing and all other facets of the game. Not only is Daran an excellent teacher, he's a gentleman and most importantly a genuinely good person."

"Daran is an impressive teacher. Before I took lessons, I was completely clueless. I had never even swung a golf club in my life, but in a few lessons I had all the basics down. "I never thought I would play golf.It seemed boring and pointless. A friend talked me into trying it and I got interested. I realized, however, that I had a lot of catching up to do as most of the girls had been playing for a year or so.

I practiced every day for weeks but noticed I wasn't getting better. I knew then that I needed some help. I met Daran when my Dad signed me up for a series of lessons. At first I was uncomfortable because it seemed like he was changing everything. The way I swung, my turn, and especially, my grip. I thought it was weird and didn't like it but he said it would feel better with pracitice and it was important in the long run. After my final lesson I left the golf course feeling a lot more confident in my swing and the way I was beginning to play.

Throughout the season I notice a dramatic improvement in my game.I was hitting the ball further and straighter.My grip was slowly moving to the correct position and by the end of the year it had completely changed.

Three years have gone by and I can officially say I love the game of golf. I now play for Reynolds High School on the Varsity Team and about to start my final year. I would never have accomplished as much as I have without Daran's help. He's improved my entire game and made the sport fun and enjoyable.

"Daran approached my lessons like a teacher who would like to help a student improve his study habits. By that, I mean he helped me to see what was the right way by showing me how to hit the ball the wrong way(my old swing).

I am highly visual and it doesn't do any good to just tell me, I have to be able to "see" it in my mind. By making me hit a series of shots wrong and then slowly adjusting my swing plane until the slice turned into a hook, he enabled me to see the basic adjustment that I needed to make at the address and how I could repeat it over and over. For the first time, it made sense because I could see the difference in the resulting ball flight.
